Having a strong foothold in the industry, Mr. Maheshkumar Kargar leads SMD Rays. With an in-depth knowledge about lasers from Germany, he is involved in laser processing of rough diamonds since 1989 as Laser machine (Carl Bassel swiss made) Operator for Rough diamonds.

We started with and having strong foot at Surat (city of diamond) as Sai Impex to serve our domestic customers for diamond processing solutions using advanced laser technology since 2000.

SMD Rays has been established in 2014 by Kargar family lead by Mr. Maheshkumar Kargar with 3 Laser Processing machines and Assembly Zone to manufacture various type of laser machines by buying high quality Laser Source, Laser Gain modules and optics from USA/Europe. With integration and in-house design capability to cut costly rough-diamonds by stable Laser beam and CNC with advanced Software, we supplied Diamond Cutting Laser machines to overseas customers with 1000 sq.ft. facility. Over the past 5 years, SMD Rays has built a new facility of 35,000 sq.ft. in special economic zone at plot no.77 and in functional. With in-house 100+ diamond cutting and processing Laser machines, research Laser Labs, Laser Source servicing capabilities, QC equipment, Fast Assembly Zone, etc for the manufacturing of machines, supplying world wide and we provide service to our valued customers across the globe.

As our approach to bring advanced laser processing technology, we had developed strong association with Synova (Switzerland) for adepting patented Laser MicroJet^® (LMJ) technoloty in our laser machines we have provided such specialized laser cutting solutions for various Ultra Hard Materials including, natural and synthetic Diamonds. As an OEM partner, we provide LMJ based integrated solutions to our customers in cooperation with Synova.

With a team of highly skilled engineers have trained from our principal abroad, our RnD unit keeps continue development of special purpose laser cutting solutions. As well we always keep improving laser cutting results in our existing laser technology systems through various departments having in-house laser lab and modifying laser optics, electronics, mechanical and software development team and software testing team.

Our motto is to provide high-end laser cutting solutions for the cutting of Rough diamonds and Lab grown diamonds for various sizes and all type of clarity and color with highly stable laser machines designed by our team and it contain 3 decades of knowledge in Laser filed to establish customized laser cutting machines with reasonable cost and stable laser system.
